Retirement was 'overdue' - Brian Dooher

Double All Ireland winning Tyrone captain Brian Dooher says his retirement was 'overdue'.

Speaking at a book launch at his home club Clann na Gael in North West Tyrone on the very day that his 17-year career at county level came to an end, Dooher said he'd been thinking about it for two or three years, and that 'time comes for everything'.

Tributes were paid to Dooher by special guest Micheál Ó Muircheartaigh, club and county colleague Stephen O'Neill, and clubmate Danny Ball.

On this video report, the trio pick their favourite memories from Dooher's career and they discuss the Tyrone captain's leadership qualities after taking over following the death of Cormac McAnallen.
