Saintly Jerome?!

I'm no Saint but Jeff Mulgrew wrote to me on St Jerome's day (Sep 30) from Canada thanking me for all the GAA videos on the website. 'I can keep up with the football at home, the time difference here in Toronto leaves it difficult. Thanks!'
Maria Twomey has also been in contact from Melbourne, Australia. She features on a few Camogie reports I did earlier this year as she's the main mover out there, plus she was involved with the Sonia O'Sullivan interview I did for a charity. Maria wants a copy of the double DVD produced from the 3-week trip which shows all the GAA/Irish people I met out there, all 58 interviews! You can see most of them on the Trailer Video below.
Staying with overseas connections, Paul O'Brien from Kildress sent me a message from Oz and Mick Tracey from the US was delighted to see Carrickmore v Errigal.
KILREA & BALLINDERRY
Closer to home, Aileen McKiernan from Kilrea has become a fan of my Facebook page - Jerome Quinn Media - and she's very excited about the Derry SFC Final against Ballinderry. She's also looking a plug for the Donaghy Bros Facebook page for their competitions, so there it is.
To be fair, I'll also mention Ballinderry's new website coming shortly, and a Draw on the 11th of the 11th..
Here's a bit of inside news from the Kilrea-Loup Semi-final last Sunday. There was talk of an appeal by Loup, which was around a switch of jerseys at half-time. The rumour was that a Kilrea player had changed his number at half-time and then been booked in the second-half and maybe should have seen red, but looking back over the video this was proven not to be the case.
BRIAN DOOHER
The other big event last weekend was Brian Dooher's retirement, which hit the media on the very day I was due at Brian's hometown club for a book launch of their history 'The Prairie Fires'. Brian himself refused to do interviews though he did say on stage that he felt his retirement was 'overdue'. Stevie O'Neill was a gentleman as always, and it was great to meet people like Danny Ball and of course the RTE legend himself.. the DVD will be worth watching because Michael had the entire room in the palm of his hand, and that's at the age of 81.
While in the North West, I took in a BT Rannafast Cup tie where the new boys from Inishowen took on St Macartan's Monaghan. It finished in a draw, which suited Maccartan's manager and Ulster Colleges Chairman Seamus Meehan as he's from Donegal.
NEW COMPETITION
The video report from this is entered into a new competition on the website - Video of the Month. The dressing-room shots at the start are great ('let's rock n roll') though probably my favourite video in September is the Camogie captains talking about how special it is to play in Croke Park.
Going back to Donegal, you'll see some of my footage if you catch TG4's coverage of their County Final. They're using goals by Michael Murphy and Colm McFadden, only seen before on Jerome Quinn Media.
WHAT'S NEXT?
Moving onto this weekend and it's another very busy one for me. I'll not give it all away but here's a few clues... I'll be following a 'foreigner' coaching a team in a County Final, I'll be following another team going for a County double in hurling and football, and I'll be back in County Meath for the re-match between the Camogs of Armagh and Westmeath.
With this schedule, I'm going to need some more Herbalife tea... now where's that number for Joanie!
