The Sean Cavanagh Song - by Datsun Donaghy
Tyrone's Number One fan Datsun Donaghy has come out of retirement to pen a tribute to Sean Cavanagh.
"It's a strange thing but completely out of the blue I had this overwhelming urge to write a celebratory song about our wee Sean", says Datsun.
"Sure he's a shining example to all the young cubs in Tyrone, especially the cubs in the village of leafy Donaghmore, who don't even have a football pitch at their primary school".
But Datsun is hoping to change all that. He's hoping that his non-profit making tribute to the triple All Ireland winning midfield star will help improve things for the cubs in Donaghmore.
"The poor wee knees are getting cut off them on that ole tarmac, so when I found out that the parents are raising funds to build a pitch, I thought I'd get my shoulder behind the wheel, and so I'm askin' all true Tyrone supporters to donate a lock of shillings to the Donaghmore Primary School Pitch Fund. C'mon Tyrone!"
The Sean Cavanagh Song sees Datsun joined on vocals by Cecilia Eskerod while Dave Murray is on guitar. Video production is by Jerome Quinn Media.
NOTE: Donations to the new pitch at St Patrick's PS in Donaghmore can be made by telephoning Torrent Credit Union, Donaghmore, on 02887767301
