Unsung GAA Hero in Texas!
'He embodies everything the GAA is about' - South West USA Chairman Pat Doab pays tribute to Celtic Cowboys and ex-Loughgiel Shamrocks clubman Aidan McCarry after the successful GAA GPA Open Hurling All Stars Exhibition game in Austin Texas.
Aidan took a full week out of his schedule to make the full size goalposts used in the game and he helped out behind the scenes. Of course, there were many others who made it possible, but this short tribute highlights the dedication and unsung support both at home and abroad that is required in a GAA club.
Mind you, as a Loughgiel man, the love of hurling was also a factor on this occasion!
